The recycling centres in Kungsbacka are open seven days a week. The opening hours vary between the three different centres.
In order to be able to drop off waste here, you must have your recycling card tied to your refuse collection subscription with you. The maximum vehicle size for visits to the recycling centres are cars with trailers, or pick-ups.
In Kungsbacka, every villa gets 15 free visits per calendar year and every apartment gets seven. The units of tenant owner associations and cooperatively owned properties with shared garbage containers get seven free visits.

The recycling centres are closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Epiphany, Long Friday, Easter's Eve, Easter Day, First of May, Ascension Day, Midsummer's Eve and Midsummer's Day. Unless otherwise stated on the website, they are open all other days of the year.

There are some 30 unmanned recycling stations throughout Kungsbacka. Here, you can drop off old newspapers, recycled paper, empty bottles, packages made of glass, plastic, metal and paperboard.
You can also drop off small batteries in red battery boxes.

Bulky waste and hazardous waste should be left at the recycling centres in Klovsten, Åsa and Barnamossen.
