Our leaders need skills, tools and models for bringing about change efficiently and successfully. There is a need for increased innovation in the government and public sector. Therefore, we need leaders who have the courage and the ability to bring about development as well as create and implement innovative processes.
Our commitment is to develop an e-society for Kungsbacka, establish a strong common culture, become an attractive employer and realise the politicians' vision. One of the basics of our program is the concept "Developmental Leadership". The model is characterised by the leader acting as a role model and raising questions on morals and ethics while observing the perceptible core values.
Developmental leadership also provides inspiration and motivation in order to promote participation and creativity, and shows personal consideration by providing support. However, it also provides constructive feedback, if required, to the individual and the organisation.
The concept includes an assessment tool for personal feedback, a theoretical model and a method of personal leadership development. The assessment tool can be viewed as an inventory of the leader’s actual leadership behavior. The model provides a direction for preferred development.
We have high ambitions; we have made a huge investment and undertaken a great initiative. The goal is that leadership should permeate everything we do; in our collaboration with colleagues and partners, within management teams and within our processes.
